St Mary's Kitchen Garden was installed.

During February half term we were very fortunate to be able to proceed with our plans for a Kitchen Garden. As you can see, this project has transformed the area outside the Y6 classes. With 6 raised beds, a number of side beds and an outdoor learning area with pergola, this garden will be used as part of the curriculum as well as for after school clubs.

We are looking for your help! In order to support our year groups in their planting and care of the beds we would like to involve as many parents as possible. You may have green fingers and be willing to work with groups of children in the garden. You may have fantastic ideas and be able to help children (and teachers!) with the planning of their bed. You may also have wonderful contacts which we could use to get plants, soil, fertiliser etc etc etc. You may know others (grandparents, aunts, uncles etc) who also might be interested in helping. The maintenance of this garden will be significant and we would love for as many people to be involved as possible. If you would like to help, please speak to Kerry Ramsay or the school office.
