Year 6 visit Shah Jahan Mosque
Year 6 visited Shah Jahan Mosque in Woking as part of their RE learning
Year 6 enjoyed a wonderful trip to Shah Jahan Mosque in Woking to learn about Islam as part of their RE learning. The key thread of special was an important part of our unit of RE and we went to learn about how a Mosque plays a special part to Muslims. We were lucky enough to be taken on a tour of the prayer halls, learn all about the 5 pillars of Islam and venture into the Mosque itself. The children asked lots of questions and were intrigued to find out about the time prayer happens, the ritual of Wudu and how the Mosque was the first purpose build building in England.
