Remembrance
On Friday 11th November we joined the rest of the country in a two-minute silence at 11.00am to mark Remembrance Day. The concept of remembrance had been introduced in our act of worship that week as well as developing an understanding of the symbolism of the poppy. Thank you toil everyone who contributed to the British legion poppy appeal as well.
On Sunday representatives from both our school and Old Basing Infants laid wreaths at the memorial at St Mary’s Church and at the memorial in town. Thank you to the Saunders and Perry families for laying the two wreaths on behalf of both schools.
