Flower Festival Displays
Over the last few weeks displays for the St Mary's Church Flower Festival have been in production. The theme of this year's festival was the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and our two displays were 'The Queen's Hats' and 'The Queen's animals. Well done to all the children who decorated hats to produce the bunting for the outside display, which was a colourful display of platinum pots full of red, white and blue flowers. The inside display consisted of a nod to the queen's racing colours and a swan in recognition of the fact that the queen owns all the swans in the country. Of course, we could not leave out the queen's favourite dog - the Corgi. Well done to the children who aloes put together the Corgi and learned new skills in terms of flower arranging. Thank you so much to everyone who helped us to put together both of the displays, it was a great example of the St Mary's community working together
