On Wednesday 27th November, Year 3 arrived in school dressed as Iron Age Warriors, ready for a full day of training! In the morning they learnt more about the Iron Age and what they would have worn, as well as the weapons they would have used and how an Iron Age hill fort helped them to defend themselves. They also looked and touched a range of Iron Age artefacts. In the afternoon, they designed their own spears and shields and spent some time being trained by Iron Age Matt and Mr Whincup in spear and sword training. The children had a fantastic day!
