Year 3 Bronze Age Workshop
Year 3 are visited by Paul Nolan who introduced them to an Age of Bronze!
On Tuesday 22nd October, Paul Nolan, the author of The Age of Bronze, came to visit year 3 to introduce them to his book and teach them more about what life was like in the Bronze Age. The children learnt about Stone Henge and practised the techniques that would have been used to move the Saracen stones from Wales to Wiltshire (creating 'Foamhenge!'). They also recreated parts of the story and re- enacted creating bronze from copper and tin. Finally, the children wrote their own story set in the Bronze Age, which they will be finishing in subsequent English lessons and sent to Paul Nolan to hopefully go in his hall of fame!
