Friendship Week returned to St Mary’s this year with the focus being ‘Change Starts With Us’. All of the children were encouraged to think about how their actions and words can help to make the school and community an even better place!

Every year group planned activities around the theme of friendship. This covered areas such as spreading kindness, celebrating our differences, building positive relationships and also the types of bullying that can occur inside and outside of school. In year 6, the children created beautiful poetry inspired by the book Wonder and in year 3, the children creating their own ‘Tree of Kindness’.
