Year 6 trip to London
Year 6 enjoyed a trip to London to visit The Globe Theatre and The Tate Modern Art Gallery. The visit feeds into the learning around Shakespeare and our history unit of 'Let Me Entertain You', looking at entertainment through the ages. We had a tour of the theatre and a drama workshop, led by Shakespearian actors. It also gave us a chance to visit the original Pop Art pieces at the gallery by Roy Leitchenstein and Andy Warhol. For many children, this was their first visit to London and seeing the sights of The Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and St. Paul's Cathedral. It was also the first time experiencing an art gallery and seeing original works up close.
