Year 6 RAF Odiham visit
RAF Odiham visited year 6 last week to help launch their new geography topic of 'Extreme Earth'. Children were shown how the RAF Chinook is used to help drop off relief aid and packages to disaster areas and then were challenged to design a parachute to help a disaster aid package (an egg) drop to safety. During the day, the children also designed and competed to create a spaghetti structure to withstand an earthquake and played an online game to help prepare and reduce the impact of natural disasters in a computer-simulated environment.
