Safer Internet Day
On 11th February 2020 St Mary's took part in Safer Internet day and completed activities based on what identity means online, how to be safe on the Internet and what to do with your personal data. This aimed to build on what they already knew about the Internet and protect them from the ever changing digital age.
Internet safety can be a challenging topic to discuss sometimes, with many children thinking that adults don't know what they are talking about when it comes to the Internet, social media or ever changing apps. As more and more children begin to own their own electronic devices, we need to make sure that we have constant conversations about online and the risks involved in playing games/interacting with others.
Attached below is some guidance on what to talk about and how to talk to your children about it, websites to visit, information to look at and family agreements.
