On Tuesday 4th July, the whole of year 3 travelled to the Anvil theatre in Basingstoke to watch and participate in the annual Hampshire Music Service Prom. This year the theme was around the sea. Alongside other children from around the county, the children were entertained by young people from a range of music groups within Hampshire. This included the Hampshire Taiko (Japanese drumming) group, a school orchestra, a string orchestra and a wonderful jazz band. We were very proud to see our 4 vocal ambassadors Harry, Abi, Jenny and Isabella singing in the vocal ambassador choir. The choir sang beautifully and it was great to see our 4 children amongst other representatives from other schools, enjoying singing and encouraging others to sing. The whole event was inspiring for our year 3 pupils who have been learning about different instrument families in music lessons. We all joined in with 2 sea songs and went back to school very excited and inspired.
