To mark the beginning of Lent, Years 5 and 6, together with members of our extended school community, joined together for an Ashes Service. Rev. Heather led us in recognising that Lent is a time to turn our lives around and take time to consider how we want to improve or better ourselves. The theme from the Church of England this year is about reflecting on the injustices of the world and ask what God is calling us to do about them.

For those children that chose to, they were marked with the sign of the cross on their forehead, made from the ashes of blessed burnt palm crosses. All of the children were impeccable behaved; being respectful and considerate of this special service. We would like to thank Rev. Heather for leading this service.
