On Tuesday 3rd December, Year 6 opened their doors to parents, family and friends, welcoming them to this year's Poetry Slam. The children's English learning had been centred around poetry for the last week and a half. We explored famous poetry and the children were excited to write their own. Some parents had a sneak peek of this poetry at our recent Open Day; many, however, got their first glimpse of their child's exhilarating poetry when they were standing on the stage!

Thank you to everyone that was able to attend this event. The teachers and the children were delighted with all of the performances. If you were unable to come, please encourage your child to share their poetry with you at home! Perhaps, the children could even think about writing some Christmas-related poetry to share with the family over the holidays!
